On behalf of the Board of Directors of Hiap Huat (“Board”), Hong Leong Investment Bank Berhad (“HLIB”) wishes to announce that the Company proposes to undertake a special issue of 42,200,000 new ordinary shares in Hiap Huat (“Hiap Huat Shares”), representing approximately 11.24% of the new enlarged issued share capital of Hiap Huat (after the completion of the Proposed Special Issue) to Bumiputera investors to be identified and approved by the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (“MITI”).
